I bought a new low seat through this site, and fitted it last week.
I wasn't sure if it would be a bit low as I am 6ft tall, but what a difference it makes especially when using the bike off road.
I feel as if I am on a different (easy to handle) bike and my confidence has had a huge boost.
The other thing I have noticed is that after a couple of longish rides it seems a lot more comfortable than the standard seat.
Has anyone else noticed this? or am I talking sh*te.

At 6' tall. I'd have thought you didn't need a low seat?

I'm 5'10" & have the seat on my 1150 on the higher setting. I've also lifted the front of the seat by 12mm using some aluminium blocks - mainly to level the seat out a little.

If you think thats made a difference you should try a Corbin.
The big advantage is 40mm lower for the rider and 50mm higher for the passanger, this makes a big difference to the bend of there knees.

Steve, do you have an adventure, or a standard GS. If you have the GSA then I must have short legs and a long body!!!!

Well I'm 6'2" and I find this works well for me..........................

Non Adventure GS for me. I have a 32" leg/inseam which is about right for my height. My girlfriend also rides a GS, she's 5'4" & uses a Wunderlich low seat. It's too low for me, knees are too bent.

I use to cycle a lot and always had a problem with the reach across the top bar being too short on bicycles that fitted me perfectly in the leg. Finally I had a custom cycle build and while being measured up the guy told me I had a long back and short legs (for my height 6.1). He was around my height and the reverse. I think with motorbikes it is more how confident you feel. I have seen guys who look perfectly happy and can only get their toes on the ground. If a low seat works for you and your legs comfortable on the pegs then great :thumb

I put a low seat on a 05 ADV , i'm 6' 1 ' , it was better in the town with your feet up on down, but it has made fast cornering harder . Somebody on this site must be able to design a speed to hight variable style'y seat . :guitarist :drums :guitarist :thumb
