Just bought an GSA and while i love it, i find the height a problem........Does the "low seat" option help much and is it worth the £200 odd?
Thanks,
Dockie.:)

To be sure, a massive difference.

With one you can touch the ground, the other you keep falling over.

I can swap an all black low seat, used for 2500 miles only, for your standard, if it's all black.

Seems like a £200 saving to me.

You bet!

Dockie,

I'm (1.73mts) and I can asure you that the low seat does make a difference. I'm so confidente now, that even venture off-road a few times with good results.

However, I'm evaluting getting a butt pad (air cushion or sheep skin) for traveling since my butt begins to hurt after a 2 hours or so in the saddle.

regards,
Mane

Thanks for the replies lads.........original seat is grey/red:( ..... i,m sure there must be a few second hand low seats out there??????????

Was thinkin bout gettin the original lowered but then the next owner might not appreciate it...............

have the lowered seat...well worth it...but as already said, arse does get numb after a while, but just add a few more stops on your long trip and it's bearable.

lowering the existing seat would be a good way...don't worry about the next owner....just knock a few quid off asking price...and anyway, what do you mean next owner....why would you want to sell it!!

in all seriousness, it instills so much more confidence when fully laden and you need to get your feet down. have only dropped it once since getting lowered seat as compared to half a dozen before.

Hi Dockie,

You wouldn't listen would you? Now, having turned your nose up at the Virago you've already encountered a problem!
What can I say mate?
Get your seat sorted and enjoy!
