Lower screen support bracket fractured

Just got my 08/09 GSA back from a warranty repair, the lower off the two screen brackets had fractured between the mounting bolts where it is secured to the subframe, this was on both sides. The Guys at Adelaide BMW (who have done a top job getting the bits and fitting a new bracket) had not seen it happen before until they looked at another bike in the workshop it had already failed on one side.
The screen stays attached but flops back resting on the clocks but moves forward being stopped by the head light assembly.
So it may be worth a look between the bolt heads adjacent to the clock/instrument cluster.

cant be that uncommon mine fractured as well caudsing a squeak over bumps

....................And the replacement part is different with a noticably smaller cut away for the screen tilt mechanism. Never seen before
