Lowering a GS

Getting old and infirm, am considering lowering my GS so I can still throw my leg over the saddle. Anyone attempted this? How much did you lower? How is handling lowered?

They were only a couple of search Results Speggo me old mucker......don't know why they didn't work but here's the results of just typing in 'lowering gs' into the search field...there's lots of threads not relkevant to the question but judicious use of the search button will turn up much info on this .
