Hi all,
I'm considering the Hyperpro front and rear lowering kit, has anyone tried this.
It comprises both springs which are progressive and cost £159.

Also can the centre stand be used with this mod.

The main attraction for me is the lowering by 30mm, but supposedly there are also handling gains.

I already have a low Sergent seat, however, because of recent major surgery I need the bike to be even lower and can't offord Wilbers or Olins etc.

Assuming the Springs can be fitted to the OE shocks. Handling gains will be minimal, but the centre of gravity will obviously be lower.

As for the centre stand. It will be possible to use it, but the bike will be much more difficult to lift onto it 'even using the correct method'. Sourcing a low stand from BMW (one that fits the low chassis version) or having a S/H one cut down would be easy enough though.

lowering

Hi Nix

I've just fitted the lowering springs to my 04 1200gs and they do fit onto the original shocks and it's quite a straight forward job if you've got the kit. But as for performance i have noticed they seem a little harder but the benefit if piece of mind that you can touch the floor with both feet when some idiot pulls out on you is well worth it.

Oh yeah and be prepared if you work with triumph tiger owners they will take the p**s out of the purple springs and say it looks like a mini moto.

Cheers martin.:thumb2

Thanks for the replys.

Martin, can you still get it onto the centre stand, or did you fit a lowered version ?.
Taking your point regarding the Tiger, the other day SBW had a new lowered version parked along side a normal version, it looked surprisingly tiny.

Thanks again Nick

center stand

HI Nix

I still use my center strand and i haven't modified it you just haveto give it a little more grunt to get it onto it. the bike sits more upright on the side stand though.

cheers martin.
