Lube fork seals ?

Shall i put some multi purpose grease on the inside radius of a new for seal before sliding (over cling film) into place on the stanchion, or fit them dry ?
Cheers for any help just waiting to finish forks and get them back on my lads bike.

Lube them with the fork oil you'll be using.

I thought of that, but the old seals have some sort of white grease on them ?

I always usedto put grease between the oil and dust seal when riding in dusty conditions. Saves the inner seal from getting easily contaminated
