Hi everyone, yes I am very lucky.
I am buying a new f800gs the question I keep asking myself is;should I get the 300 year special edition or the regular with the comfort pack etc.
I always thought specials looked a bit naff but, so the dealer tells me, you get more for your money pro rata, it has abs2 and it will be more sought after. So making it worth more when I come to trade it in for an F1200 to start my round the world trip......yeah, yeah.
Any comments will be read with interest and much appreciated.
Thanks

Blimey, thought they'd only been going 30 years

Seriously though.. I reckon a 30 year anniversary is a future collectable, a bit like the 1150 SE and the 1100 Anniversary.... so if I was in the market for a new one... that'd be what I'd go for :thumb

Welcome to the site BTW :beerjug:

Why would you not?

It's got all the bits on it you are going to buy anyway and may be worth an extra £500 in 3 years time :nenau

Only reason for not buying it would be because you don't like the colour (or lack of it :blast ) :thumb2

The 30 year special

Works out cheaper getting the 30 year with it's extras that you need rather than speccing up a base model.
I bought it because it looks better as well :thumb

Good luck. :thumb2

The decision is all yours. :nenau

I bought the F800GS. :)

Beauty is the eye of the beholder, the white version with black seat looks much better IMHO. Also, I don't think future value would change much since production is not numbered as the 25 yrs 1200 GSA was. Then just get the one you prefer!
