We're off to France for a week next Monday. Hotel on the way, three nights in an AirBnB, hotel in Belgium on the way back. As ever, the overall success of the trip will be somewhat dependent on the weather.

Just checked on Accuweather. 28-30 degrees, only rain might be thunderstorms. The sun shines on the righteous (brothers).

Time to dig out the mesh jacket!

Care to whisper your destination(s)? I am guessing Reims or somewhere a bit south, maybe even Dijon.

You know they’ll ask you at the tea huts on the way back, so you might as well practice now. I know from personal experience that answering “France”, does not satisfy the stout guardians’ enquiries of “Where have you been?”. They are right nosey.

PS Have a spiffing time.

Our original plans have changed slightly. What was going to be a blast to Vosges ahs turned into a more gentle two days to get there, avoiding autoroutes. First night at Chalons-en-Champagne (though I bet at least one group member ends up heading for Chalon-sur-Saone). Three nights in an AirBnB in Schwenheim, northerr part of the Vosges. A couple of days to play without luggage. Then home via a night in La Roche-en-Ardennes.

Routes might be attached for interest.

It's near Germany. And we may do some raids onto Germany soil, to remind the Hun that the Yeomen of England still present a threat and need to kept happy.

Charlie has the same routes as the rest of us, but who knows?
