Luggage Plate For Solo Seat

I have this setup. With the rear seat removed and the top box mounted in its place. Looks neat. And the padded back rest helps. But many fellow UK GSEr's commented that the bike looks stubby. But as I now carry a disc lock, and a lock and heavy chain and I ride solo. This is the best set up as it does not upset the dynamics of the bike by making the back end heavy.

Does the vario box mount directly to this plate or does it need an adaptor?

The vario top box mounts directly on to the plate. As there are 4 slots for the box to fit in.

That's a great looking GS dinku!

Personally I'm not a fan of top boxes for the reasons they carry weight up high and back, and are in the way of my leg when mounting and dismounting. But having it forward (when riding solo) like you do is a good idea and having it on to secure a helmet comes in handy.
