What a great day!! 
. Riding mid week is so much more enjoyable than weekends! 
. Far less tourists, far less 'locals' (up for the weekend from London and charging along the hidden roads in their 4x4s) and NO 600 boy racers!! Fantastic!!! 
.
The countryside is looking superb right now; full green trees and hedgerows, wildlife there to be spotted (the cock pheasant are resplendent right now, hares - well, haring across the fields, deer venturing into fields to nibble the crops and..... loads of smelly pigs!!
). Only downside is lots of flattened bugs to wash off 
, still, mustn't grumble

The weather forecast for the holiday weekend isn't so good
