I know there's a higher than normal proportion of MacHeads here, so I have a real doozy that will sort the men from the boys.
I have a new MacPro (5,1) and have put in an SSD. I've installed the OS (10.8) without issues. I use Migration Assistant to transfer my data from the disk taken from my old MaCPro (1,1, 10.7)and settings and the data transfers without problem and I've verified its there.
However, when I then try and boot from it nothing happens. Disk Utility says its corrupted and apparently corrects the errors, but it still won't boot.
I've reinstalled 3 times now with the same result.
How could MA screw up a disk so effectively that it won't boot?
