mac OS 9 to iPod

I have just bought an iPod, but it states in the insptructions that you must have Mac OS X or later to use iTunes.

Does anyone know whether or how to upload music to the iPod from a Mac with OS 9?

Hi Darkhourse,
If your iPod is new and blank,
you should get a dialog box when you plug it in saying "do you want this iPod to update your iTunes, you say , NO then it should take the music no problem if however the iPod has already the latest iTunes you will have to upgrade you Mac to OS X
It is all to do with the version of iTunes you are using......
