Down load Omni disk sweeper
That will allow you to interrogate what is what

Just installed Omnidisksweeper and found 8GB of emails (Gmail). As soon as I delete them I know I'll want to read an old email, body typical.

Surely cloud based emails like hotmail & gmail are just that, cloud based, and therefore don't take up disk space? Unless you're talking about attachements?

I have some hotmail accounts linked to my gmail account, saves me having to open them all up to read my emails. I guess that explains why?
