mach loop??

can someone tell me where the mach loop is.
i have seen loads of great footage on youtube of the jets passing through but i cant seem to find out where it is as i plan to head there in the summer on the bike with camera.

Stumac,

You're looking for Machynlleth. IIRC the loop is from there, along the A489/A470, to Mallwyd, following the A470 towards Dolgellau, then back down the A487 towards Machynlleth.

Can't remember whether it is done clockwise or anti-clockwise nowadays.

The MOD publish who's 'booked in'(what squadrons are due to fly through) in something like 2 hour chunks per day. It's on the web, somewhere, and on the photography sites that specialise in Mach Loop pics.

My son is doing A level photography,when i told him about the Mach Loop and he saw some of the photos and videos, he decided he wants to take some pics and videos for his portfolio.I am taking him up on the bike in a few weeks,how far from the road is the best viewing point?
