Hi all,

I need to use a lathe to turn down the diameter of an aluminium axle to take different bearings. Does anybody have a good and friendly machine shop that would just whack it in the lathe for me?

If any of you has a lathe, would you be willing to do it for me or let me do it?
(For those who know..approximately 29mm now to be turned down to 28mm tolerance of 0.01mm or k6)

Thanks in advance!

George

If you're struggling to find anywhere near you you can post it to me and i will do it for the price of postage ,as long as it's no more than a couple of foot long.

Its only a triple clamp axle really. Will have a look around here and possibly take up your offer! many thanks

Piston Broke Engineering, Easton

Hi George!

There's a local guy who runs his own business out of a small unit in Easton Business Centre called Piston Broke Engineering. He's a really helpful guy who also makes steel brake lines made to measure. 0117 941 2300

Freakboi, I had come across him a while ago when looking for a custom brake line. Will give him a call.
