Initially I didn’t like the sound of a guided tour - I like to do my own thing - but we spent 3 days following Steve around different parts of this small but spectacular island and Rosie and I both agreed it was the highlight of our 10 days. The roads are fantastic and I’ve never ridden anywhere where you climb and descend so steeply in such quick succession. If we’d rented a bike we would have spent more time stopping to look at a map than riding. Google maps not recommended and can easily get you in trouble due to the nature of some of the old mountain roads. Steve is very easy going and good company and it soon feels just like riding with a new biking buddy.
We mostly took our own gear and were especially glad we took helmets so we had our comms. Steve has 3 full days suitable for pillion and more for solo riders.
