Main stand on low model

My mate aged 77 is looking at a new low g650gs and has been told by dick lovetts bristol that the main stand will not work on this model,is the correct please?

True, the standard stand will be too high and too hard to get the bike on the centre stand....

If a full height one won't work then could he not get one cut down, feet welded back on and powdercoated? Clearance issues maybe? Check back with the main dealer.

Cheers for the advice guys.He has ordered a gs for march plate and i will cut and reweld the main stand if need be.
Just getting a givi box and plate and taller screen ordered up for him ready for march.He wants to put a few thousand miles on it before our yearly 16 day tt trip.

The single cylinder F650GS FL(factory lowered) has a centrestand.

The single cylinder G650GS FL(factory lowered) hasn't and there isn't one available.

However......The centre stand from a F650GS F/L will fit the G650GS but it's a real pain in the ass to use as it's too short!

I was going to get one for Mrs P's bike only she could never manage to use it on her old 05 F650GS F/L but it'd be handy for lubing the chain
