Hi
I have been trying to get tyres for my BMW1200 and through this forum have been recommended Heidenau tyres. But these are not available until November 20th and I could really do with a new set of off road tyres now.
My bike currently has Bridgestone Road tyres.
Can anyone tell me the make of the standard fitting Off road tyres that BMW supply, or does anyone here have a positive experience with a particular brand of off road tyre on a 1200 GS?
Thx

My GSA came with Continetal TKC80's from new

They handle just fine for a big blocky tread pattern :thumb2

You'll find the sizes are the same as the road tyres

Another vote for Conti TKC80 tyres, a commonly fitted tyre and widely available (best sourced from a local bike tyre fitter if you want to pay a little less than main dealer pricing, shop around for the best deals.)

Personally I prefer Metzeler Tourance (original style NOT the EXP type) as I don't go down anything worse than a gravel road on the GSA (I take the KTM instead) and they are a decent tyre on-road.

Personally I prefer the Metzeler Karoo2 knobblies. I found them just as good as TKC's off road, and better on Tarmac. Plus better wear.
