Hi all, in the How To section, somebody mentions putting all of Europe etc onto a 2 gig memory card and using that to load maps into the Zumo 550.

I tried to load up a heap of maps into the zumo but it tells me that there is not enough room, and I should reduce the amount of maps I want to use, hence the need to try this using a card.

If I put all the maps on a memory card how do I get the Zumo to read them from this? Also the checkbox for route calculation is greyed out and can not be ticked - any ideas?

If it all sounds like I am doing something completely wrong please tell me - I have the new City Navigator Europe data and can't seem to use it to the full.

Any advice welcomed !

Cheers, David

The City Navigator Europe maps are already preloaded on your Zumo 550 or should be... that's most likely the reason the Zumo is telling you that their is not enough room. The SD slot is for additional maps or music etc etc. The mapsource disk that came with your Zumo is for your PC. Do not try to add maps to the Zumo 550 from it...........as I said they are on the Zumo already.

A good place to learn about/or ask questions on your Zumo 550.................http://www.zumoforums.com/index.php

Wot Jaws said - the whole of Europe is already on your Zumo.

If you want additional maps e.g Topo maps - you just load them onto the SD card and the Zumo will automatically read them from there.
