MapSource Novice Question

Have had my 2nd-hand Street Pilot 2820 for nearly a year now but have never used MapSource before.

Decided to use it for a ride that I was leading in December and put all the Waypoints in etc, downloaded it to the Garmin - but I couldn't see it when I went into Routes on the Street Pilot (I expected to find it under "Tools/My Data/Routes")

Gave up over Christmas but feel I must sort this out now...

I suspect I have failed to do something fundamental - like having any clue as to what I'm doing

You say you downloaded the waypoints did you actually make a route and save in in Mapsource and download the route as well. When you send data to your unit you have the option of which data you want to send eg. Waypoints Routes , Maps etc. Did you tick the route box? I am just up the road from you if you need any help I have a 2610 which I would imagine works the same way.

but I did check all the boxes - I think

Going back into MapSource I have loaded the file back and it has a Map Set name.

I work in Chippenham so perhaps I could pop round sometime - drop me a pm.
