OK so I know I am doing something wrong but I have read the manual and I still can't figure out what!

I have just got a 2820 and having created a few routes (across France) I transferred them to the unit - I created them by creating waypoints for both the start of the route and the end - then calculating.
They all work fine on the PC and all but one work fine on the unit.

The one that doesn't work looks ok on the PC but if you bring up the route on the unit and click edit, shows the route to have no destination and the map shows the North Sea! I have tried all sorts of ways of creating the route on the PC but can never get it to work on the unit.

What am I missing? I am using Mapsouce V8.2 (the disk that came with the unit - I had V8 previously) Any advice would be appreciated. :(

Sounds like you may have created a route that goes into or across a map that you haven't loaded????

All I can suggest is post up the routes here and we’ll take a look at them

No - one of the routes that works fine has the same start and destination just a different middle waypoint so should still work? How do I post the route? I am a bit of a Mapsource novice! Cheers...

Make the route that doesn't work in a mapsource file... Just the one to keep the size down... Maybe add one that does work beside it... but if it won't post, then you need to keep the size down... at the worst case, post a mapsource file with just the waypoints that won't work as a route...

Then attach it to your reply by clicking on the attach files, manage attachments button below the reply box... Navigate to the directory that holds the file you saved and click on the file...

Easy?
