Marushin X-Moto or HJC CL-XS

Im looking for a summer helmet.I tried a Tour -X but £300 is a lot of cash for a helmet that seems to be the wrong shape for my head .My Shoei Raid II ( Large ) fits perfectly and I was wondering if anyone had got a Marushin X-Moto or HJC CL-XS yet and could advise on fit, quality and spare visor availability.

They are both £100, have ACU Gold ect...and the Marushin comes with clear and dark (track use only) visors

I haven't seen the HJC helmet yet but their customer services said it wouldn't be available untill May / June in the UK. I have tried on their off road helmets that the CL-XS will be based on and it seemd like a reasonable vfm helmet to me.

I didn't like the Marushin at all, felt very plastic and couldn't stand the interior, so it would be the HJC for me in May.

Where did you find the Marushin? I contacted the Eurpopean importers and they waffled about availability. Their bumf says it is fibreglass?? No D rings though unfortunately.
No luck with the HJC either, it won't be available until June over here, so read September!
Airoh have a new one out, the S4, looks good but so did the Tyger until a close inspection!

What is the problem with these Tour X type helmets?

BM Enduro, Airoh S4, Marushin X-Moto and the HJC CL-XS, can't buy any of 'em! All due in June! 2006?

Maybe it's something to do with June will have the one day that the UK can call "summer"?

www.infinitymotorcycles.com say they have the Silver HJC CL-XS in all sizes and www.highriders.co.uk claim to have Silver and Black Marushin X-Moto in all sizes. After an extensive search these are the only two suppliers I could find.

Has anyone seen the HJC in the shops yet? I'll phone Infinity tomorrow to see if it's in their shops & noy just on the 'net.

Went into the Infinity shop in Bevois valley, Southampton, and asked if the HJC was in stock, bloke didn't have a clue what I was talking about. When I told him it was on their website, he said it will probably turn up sometime.

I bought a HJC CL-XS for my daughter. Seems better than the Tyger but as always you get what you pay for. My daughter loves it, silver and blue flames etc. Cost me £130 over here, we pay VAT on lids, for that kind of money I reckon it is OK.
