I have just found out google translate allows you to download different languages to yer phone HD.
Very conveniant and handy if you are tight on data or offline or in a remote area.
HTHY. its helping me anyroad. 😀

Google translate is the absolute business, use it all the time abroad.. obvs data snd signal dependant.

Use it in camera mode and it is real time live translation of text perfect for parking signs and menus etc.

Use in conversation mode is like having your own interpreter with you during a conversation.

I thought everyone knew that.

very handy in N.Spain where you are never quite sure what languages the dishes on the menu are given in.

Although, leaving your phone on the lid of your topbox then riding off is not conducive to optimal performance in the Parador restaurant later that day. I will take a 10" tablet as well as the phone later this month, just in case I do it again.

If it's all t's and x's it's Basque!

I think I may have not composed my post well.

It was not the tip of google translate. It was that you can download say Spanish French and Marok to yer phone storage and use it ( this is the bit I have just learnt) wherever, without using your data or any possible available wi fi.
My lovely wife Janet has been ordering
Vimto Serrano's at a local off piste bar....🙂
