Howdo chaps, when I put rear brake on hard, in gear, clutch out (emergency stop style) there`s a clunking from the (bikes) rear end. Is this normal, Ive never noticed it before. All bolts are torqued up, suspect the transmission.

Maybe it's me but, when I do an emergency stop, I pull on the clutch lever as well as the front and rear brakes.

I could be wrong and it won't be the first time!

Not pulling the clutch lever is supposed to give you extra retardation from engine braking.

Clonking is normal on the GS - just live with it.

Dunno why this is in the innovations forum, but there you go...

Wrong forum -

But it could be the sound of your ABS activating. Always makes a clonking on the rear if you lock it up while braking. -
