May weather in the Picos de Europa?

Looking at doing some tracks in the Picos towards the end of May, but then I wondered about the weather. When we skirted the area at the beginning of May last year there looked like quite a lot of snow at altitude.

Any idea on the typical weather at the end of May?

Tim, end of May should present no problem at all. This was taken at altitude last April .

Three years ago I was also there in May and definatly no snow on the roads or tracks.

This was the weather around mid may 2003, a few hundred feet above the top of the Fuente De cable car.
There is a great track up there and beyond. I met a guy training on a moto x bike there, he said it wasn't legal but who was going to catch us anyway, we smiled and sped off
