how much are you paying for your antivirus software
as Mcaffee want £89

I don't pay anything, lots of great free options out there. Have a look here for the options. Definitely wouldn't pay anything for McAfee it's a terrible product!

McAfee wanted £59 from me on an annual renewal.
I ditched them and simply use Windows own AV and CrapCleaner for a sweep down. Having said that, I don't trawl dodgy sites so I didn't feel McAfee was VFM.

Personally, if you want to buy AV software, I'd be looking to pick them up when they're on offer for thirty quid each year.

But, as the above post says, there are free products out there, too.

I get a multi-year, multi-machine AVG installation - it might cost £30 or thereabouts

Al

Never paid for any antivirus software especially Macafee or any of the other big names as imho they are a bit of a con.
I use Bitdefender which sits quietly there doing it's job and doing it well and it's free.

Bank with Barclays and you can get Kaspersky AV for free. Licensed for up to three PCs or a Mac.

just rang mcafee support and they immediately reduce the price by 50% thats with the same level of cover , just shows what complaining can do

Just remembered - if you have a BT phoneline - don't they have freely-available AV software to download ?
I don't use it, but it's either McAfee or Norton.

Thanks for advise people
