hi all,fitted a quill end can to remus headers on my 04 1200 rode about 5 miles all ok then carried on for about 100 miles and found my number plate and indicator melted............anyone else had the same...quill are beeing helpful and saying if i send photos they will redevelope the link pipe but i am not sure i want to be their r and d .i am wondering what will happen if i fit my varios etc

I had this happen with my full Remus setup. Didn't have the same problem with just the end can.

My solution was to buy an offcut of Ali from ebay and use it to back the numberplate - with a slight airgap between ali and numberplate.

I had the same problem with a remus on an 1150GSA.I had a small extention pipe made and fitted by a local exaust dealer.Problem solved.Cant remember how much it cost but it wasnt much.
