Can anyone out there help with our problem? Having just spent
loads of money having Gel inserted in Kate's F650GS seat by another Company - it didn't work! Has anyone had Melvyn's treatment yet on these seats?

Perhaps there's nothing wrong with the seat...

and it's Kate's bum that requires Melvins magic treatment!!!:D :D :D :D :D :D

Odd, I thought it was usually their chests they had this type of thing done to....:D :D :D :D :D

Phil,

what do you mean when you say it doesn't work? Melvin explained to me that the only thing the gel mesh insert does is isolate the rider from vibration.....

This is why it does'nt work, they have fitted FLAT gel pad inserts, Melvin uses HONEYCOMB gel pad inserts that are about 18mm thick so they don't cause hard spots.

He has tried several types and imports these from Canada as they are the only ones he has found to work, I can only agree with him.

So the solution is to do what you should have done in the first place, call Melvin !!!

You know it makes sense, can't have the lady with a numb bum.

I can't comment on the Melvins work yet, but I've only heard good things, however, his service is outstanding.

I called Melvin on Thursday (8th May) and asked for a big favour, in changing Lisa springs on her F650GS it had highered the bike more than we had anticipated, so we needed some serious surgery carried out on her seat. Time is running very short as we are due to leave Devon on the 17th May for a four year RWT. We sent the seat up on the Thurday and Melvin had done the job on a quick turn around and was ready to send it back to us today (Friday 9th). The guy didn't have to help us out as much as he has, but he did...top bloke.

Cheers

Thanks Jimb

That makes sense. We'll call Melvin. Should have gone to him in the first place but only just discovered he existed. If that doesn't work, I'll have a buttock transplant!

Kate.
