Gezzas ~ Disable Messenger Service

Being a bit of an IT insultant

Disabling the messenger service stops the pop up but the meanies are still accessing your PC.

Best thing to do is install some could of Firewall, Norton do a personal firewall, or there's loads you can down load for free if your a bit more proficient with the PC, try
