We've just come to the end of an 8 year relationship with a Nissan Leaf; largely trouble free for 79k miles with little in the way of routine maintenance other than tyres it was a reliable comfortable workhorse when allied to a home charger. However, it developed a battery fault* which rendered it almost worthless overnight. Nissan are only too aware of this and now offer an eight year warranty on post '22 cars against this particular issue, sadly ours fell outside their parameters and they refused to take it as a trade in.
*Over discharge on a small number of cells resulting in a 'Low Power Mode' warning and limp mode.
