I've now ridden 8,502 miles on my R1150GS since Michelin Anakees were fitted.
When new, the front had 5mm of tread, the rear 8mm. They are now down to 3mm and 2mm - so the rear is being replaced tomorrow.
The majority of the mileage has been on two runs to the Sahara fringes, the first a high speed run generally cruising at 100mph, the second trip at a more modest pace.
I have had one puncture (rear) from a small sharp stone, probably picked up on the first Sahara run - it was professionally plugged.
I have absolutely no complaints about the tyres (but have never used Tourances, so can offer no comparison) and will fit them again (at least they are available!).
