Just some thoughts on them, and I wanted Tourances but the dealer couldn't get any. The Anakees were also £15 more expensive for the set.

This is after almost 3400 miles going from home to Segovia and back, two up with big pannier lids and topbox ie fairly well loaded up. Mileages were around 350 ish per day so most of the roads were fast, but with some of the cart tracks the Spanish pass as roads. Weather ranged from +35 to +20 and pouring rain to +12 and snow

Wear rate on the rear in the centre and edge is 1mm per 850 miles, with 8mm to start with ie just over 5000 miles till they're illegal. Wear on the front has been 1mm at the edge and centre with a starting tread of 5mm.

No twitches like Trailwings on wet banding but I'm surprised that a French tyre maker didn't design a tyre that would have at least some grip on the paint on their roads. Not surprising that in the heat they gave no worries and didn't seem to show the distress that the Trailwings did on the edges of the tread when you were really utillising the engine.

In slow corners there seemed to be a bit of a nodding from the front end which didn't cause any problems it just seemed a bit funny at first. I did seem always though to be turning in to early and having to correct.

In summary a lot better than the Trailwing but I not convinced that the Tourance is beaten on the wear rate ie value for money.

A rubber compound that grips on their white lines in the wet does NOT exist.

Trying some out at the mo.

And your wear rate seems about right. My front is doing fine but the rear looks as if it will be shot about 3.5-4k. Nige, i shall be calling you at BFM for some more Tourances!!!
