I and a mate recently bought a pair of these with the intention of having bike to bike comms, I was going to Bluetooth the radio to my Zumo 550 and then to my helmet (Caberg Justissimo). my mate has an Autocom so he hard wired the radio into that. Problem is that I can't get either of the radios to connect via Bluetooth to anything...at all. They won't even be discovered by pretty much any other Bluetooth device, telephones, laptops, Satnavs...the list goes on.
Given that both radios are the same I'm thinking that they aren't broken they just have crap Bluetooth.
has any one else used these radios AND got them to work via Bluetooth?

Regards,

John

From the Midland website,

"What does this mean? Using the Midland G8 Bluetooth Two Way Radio you can pair via Bluetooth to other Bluetooth enabled headsets."

I would expect the radio to pair with a BT headset, but not a BT mobile, satnav, laptop or similar.

If you received misleading advice from a retailer, then take it back.

John

Make sure that your radios are set to Bluetooth discover mode, or else you will have a great deal of trouble pairing the devices (speaking from personal experience :blast)
