Midland to motorola not compatible!

I have a Midland BT2 comms system and a Motorola TLKR-T5 radio and can't find a suitable lead to connect the two. I rang Midland and they say only their radio is compatible with the BT2! Can that be right? Does anyone know different?

'single pin accessory socket'

possibly yaesu type,does the manual give the pinouts of the 3.5mm socket?


yeasu radios have a single pin 4 pole connector....and there is an adaptor from that to 2.5/3.5 mm standard connectors.......I use one on a yaesu vx-1 radio
