Just fitted a set of 25mm bar risers from Migsel.
Wasn't expecting them to make as big a difference to the riding position as they did. Top mod:thumb2

I just ordered some last weekend, on recommendation from Pipster - so I'll let you know if I agree, when they arrive.

Are you on a GS or ADV?
Where's your seat?
How tall are you?

Phil

I've just fitted some too:thumb

Not been out yet but can tell it feels better just by sitting on it.

OK OK Pigglet, you made me smile!!!
Obviously?? I meant high or low, but it's mint imperial anyway 'cos I'm on a 12GS.

They still haven't arrived through t'letterbox.

Squid - you on a 12?

Phil

:D
I've got a corbin on the high setting.
I fitted a wilbers rear shock which is 10mm higher too. While this didn't make a radical difference to the riding position I thought I'd try the risers based on what I'd read on here.
I use the bike off-road too so they make standing up more comfortable.
Mine took about a week to land.
After the difference they've made I would fit them on any gs I bought in the future ( i went for the 25mm ones and they just swapped straight over in a couple of mins) :thumb2
PS squid- mine felt better when i sat on the bike but it's when you're actually riding you notice the difference more.

I've fitted some as well. They make off roading much more comfortable, however they sit you further back when sitting down and the weight is on your cocyx :eek

On a 1100

Seat on high set
I'm 6ft
I've used the added height to allow me to also tilt the bars back a bit which improves it for me further
Standing on pegs much improved.

Yeah! I've noticed that stood up they are just too low for comfort, not that I want to off-road it - too big & heavy for that (got an XR400 for trailing).
Having said that, I was coming back from Shipley a couple of weeks ago when I saw a sign "NOT SUITABLE FOR MOTORS" near Ilkley Moor - well, red rag to a bull!
Well, you can probably guess - I have fallen off my GS on Ilkley Moor but I had my hat on, so that's alright.

I fitted the risers from NN in April 2 years ago.

The toys that lift an inch and drop back about an inch.

With slightly rotating the bars, the difference in my comfort was huge. Posture was very much improved.

As others have said, it's hard to believe that just a few mm of movement can make so much difference.

My risers dropped through t'letterbox earlier - and just fitted 'em, not been out for testride yet.

One querie for you chaps who've used them:-

On full left lock the brake hose is just a smidgin tight. I think it's probably OK. But the front brake is somewhat essential at times.

Anybody experience this?
Maybe re-route the hose under the top yoke?
Or adjust the Y-piece that's mounted to the frame in front of the tank?
