Migsel bar arrived a while back (cheers Michel :bow )
Finally got round to sorting out all the wiring, put a new switch in the dash for the the Wunderlich lights, and a Ha;fords switch on the left bar. Hid the relays in the gap under the cover over the headlights. The lights on top are Halfrauds fog lamps (£24 in a sale). Awesome firepower now after I put an 80 watter in the dip beam

Like the lights at the bottom, would look better on mine than the Micro DE's, which model are they?

They are Wunderlich Part number 8600510, originally intended for the F650.
However, these are no longer listed on Wunderlich's website.

I've got the same lights, albeit in black, from halfords. I use them as running lights ie to be seen. they aren't much cop for actually seeing the road though :(

Does the Migsel light bar stick out far enough that if the GS falls over the lights will get smashed?

It survived this 80 meter slide with flip quite well. Unlike several other bits of the bike :(

Yea, along with a brand new jacket, a pair of gloves, a helmet, a bunch of ribs and a deer...

The prang.

Serious question, how did the crash bars take the impact?, I,m thinking of adventure crash bars but have heard they tend to not like crashes.
Dave GS.

They were of course written off, but they did their job: protect the rest of the bike.

The cylinders were pretty much intact, also thanks to the additional protection of the Stanton head guards.

You can see some more pics of the mishap on my smugmug.

Cheers,
Michel

Crash bars.

Many thanks for the pic of the post crash bars, they certainly survived very well considering the bang they had, must be a good investment.
Hope you and the deer little thing recover quickly. Venison for xmas dinner?
happy xmas to all. Scrooge 11. (dave GS)
