Over on the Super Tenere forum , last September Longhaulpaul posted that he'd reached 100,000 miles on his 2012 Super Ten, and was thinking of washing it for the first time :D along with a first valve check....

7 months later, he's still not washed it or checked the valves, and is now on 139,000 miles :eek:

Seriously underrated bike and a pretty serious owner to go with it ;)

I'd like to see you not clean a bike for 4 years :eek::D
 
I saw a Nick Sanders video where her rode a Gen 2 around South America, he thought he'd better get its first service done after 3k!

That's impressive. I read that Yamaha are offering a lifetime warranty on the engine now.:thumb

and twice for various reasons he had no oil (mechanic cock up) or a self induced leak on the final drive (luggage strap caught) and happily sailed on with zero oil or the wrong sort respectively!!
