Mill BMW and My New Bike
Just like JohnN From Blyth I am also the proud owner of a new R1150GS my bike is the adventure model complete with all the toys, the bike was delivered to my home on the agreed date 21/11/03 and the agreed time complete with a full tank of fuel(30 ltrs)
I am no exception to the rule as far as doing my home work is concerned in respect to reading reports etc from previous customers!!
As a result of an RTA eight weeks ago my last bike (Honda blackbird) was written off, shortly after the accident I visited Mill BMW all the staff were extremely
Helpful. A small holding fee was paid. As a result of several delays insurance company hold ups and approximately six weeks later ,I eventually received my settlement cheque and was now in a position to complete the sale, during this extended period Mill BMW were kind enough to hold the bike for me, I am quite sure that during this time there must have been a number of prospective customers in a position to purchase the bike there an then with cash in hand, but on no occasion did I receive any phone calls to try and persuade me to back out of the sale to allow anyone else to buy the bike, as far as I am concerned this was far beyond and above my expectations .
One thing I am sure that we will all agree on is that we only speak as we find and on this occasion Mill BMW certainly get my vote of approval. WELL DONE LADS.

Enjoy the service......now you`ve bought the bike it will be all downhill from here.

Do a search on Mill to learn more.

Lol...Dave you grumpy old git.....chappy shows up all happy like and whacks up his first post (Hiya Pipe Major BTW...on behalf of everyone else welcome:D ) all full of smiles and with a nice new shiny bike thats making him grin like a little boy with a new toy and what's the first thing he gets??

A good slap in the face and a doom laden slagging of his dealer....

You could at least have said 'Welcome on board chappy and by the way Mill are crap'

Akk it's been a long day

:D

No..you could`nt be further from the truth.
If he does a search on Mill now it will save him loads of grief later by switching to a proper dealer for servicing etc.
I went 4k over service believing them when they told me they`d done a service on mine when I bought it. Would`nt piss on them if they were on fire.

Welcome Pipe Major, My Wife and I have purchased a R1100GS, R850R, R1150GS, R1150R and R1150GSA from Mill. I originally took note of post's such as above and although Bikes purchased from Mill (Best Deal every time) I took them elsewhere for Service. After breaking down in France, Germany and having both Boots covered in oil due to leaking Rocker covers I decided enough is enough. Mill now do the Servicing, my service records show that Bike's covered 96,000 trouble free miles. Can't be that bad then:D

Mill Garages

I have a honda st1100 at the moment a 1997 I have had it for 5 years now and I have been looking at buying a nearly new 1150gs so I went to Mill as you do in the north east and was suprised to see so much corrosion on the used bikes .Is this common with the GS model.Furry aluminium corroded top bottom yokes.I thought a BMW garage would have prep'd the bikes to a far higher standard. When I look at my Pan I think thank god I made the right choice.
But then again I have the itch .

www.sb-direct.com thats my website have a look sign the guest book if you like oh

Merry Xmas and safe riding for next year

Dogslow - do what I did, trade the Honda in for a new GS :D I was in Mills this week, and I was only thinking how well the older bikes scrub up, but there are always exceptions. If the previous owners have used & abused them, then nothing the dealer can do will rectify that, and there's a fair chance that many GS owners leave the crud on longer than most Honda owners.
Regards,
Charles
