I was bound for France to climb Mount Blanc – flights booked etc. Two days before the flight I reached into the bedside locker for the passport; the little red booklet that fell to hand was the old expired (in 2006) one. The current one that should be there was last used coming home from Africa last year & should be in the locker but..............:blast

Two days of fruitless searching saw France evaporate – I still don’t know where it is. :blast:blast
My daughter Ciara got married recently & a lot of de-cluttering & serious refurbishment went on so it might be inadvertently dumped or it might be in a very very very safe place??? :blast:blast:blast
A replacement would take 3 working days – they can’t print them in Molesworth St (computer readable etc.)– I tried.:blast:blast:blast:blast
Emergency documentation only to repatriate you if lost papers abroad or to travel out for serious illness/death. :blast:blast:blast:blast:blast

I headed out with Grumpy for the last day of summer & then joined a few friends were heading for Skye. Aer Lingus will take you to Edinburgh on a driving licence & Skye is an interesting place & a great climbing destination. I have been there many times but had not planned it this year.
Such is life :aidan
