Anybody got any views on this?

Can someone with more experience on these things say..

1) Is this spec is any good?

Maximum Resolution: 10 Megapixels
Sensor Resolution: 5 Megapixels
Movie Mode: VGA (640 x 480) up to 30 fps
QVGA (320 x 240) up to 30 fps

2) Better or worse than the ATC2000 thingmie that records onto SD cards? (which was the other alternative)

Basically on the lookout for something budget priced that replaces bolting a camera onto a tank mount, which is good quality but intrusive.

samsung VP220X it's the size of a mobile phone resolution 720x576 DVD quality comes with a remote camera head for extreme sports.:thumb2

it's the best we've tested the smallest we've seen and about £250.

640x480 is not full frame and so if you make something from the footage it's already got a problem. Also all MPEG4 recording has issues with codecs for play back be very careful or you'll end up with single frame video or frame loss associated with NTSC to PAL conversion issues. (the appearance of dropped frames)

Best of luck
