Hi all,

We are in the market for a used Twin Cam RT (2010 onwards) and where wondering what, if any spec changes there have been from introduction of the Twin Cam RT to the present time. Any help and info appreciated.
Thanks.

If memory serves me correct the only changes made have been colour changes and they changed the fork legs from 2011 model year onwards to ones that look similar to the ones fitted to 1200GS's. I think they have updated the audio system to allow i-players and memory sticks to be connected to them in recent years along with a Bluetooth interface.

From late 2012, they seem to run an exceptionally lean fuelling map. This means quite rough running; particularly at motorway speeds :blast

A Hilltop remap fixes this beautifully; even some BMW dealers acknowledge this.

I'd still look for a bike with low miles, FSH, not ex-demo, and as new as possible. A warranty for at least 12 months is useful too. (Lots of demo bikes carry an "R" reg).

Bargains to be had- buy a less than 2 years old RT from a non-BMW dealer; save £s, and still have the BMW warranty.
Mine was <£11k for a 6 month old bike with 192 miles (Full spec too....... but needed that re-map!)
