Just got back from a weekends riding while on holiday in Florida.
We hired two Triumphs, a Bonneville and a Scrambler from Modern Classic Motorcycle Rental in Orlando. The bikes cost us about $185 each and came with a sat-nav on the Scrambler. The owner, Frank delivered and collected the bikes and couldn't have been more helpful. He advised us on a route and also a place to stay, although the weather got pretty nasty and we decided to stay away from the Gulf coast.
The bikes were close to mint with about 10,000 on the clocks, they handled like a dream. There are some really good roads if you stay off the interstate and state roads, plenty of nice curves and loads to see, although the straights can go on a bit. The state roads can get busy but the traffic never stops moving. On the interstate the bikes were rock solid but it can be a bit unnerving if you've not driven here before, with cars and trucks passing on both sides, although the speeds are a lot lower than we're used to back home.
All in all it was a good weekend and we would definitely do it again, probably for a little longer.
We'd definitely recommend looking up Modern Classic Motorcycle Rental on Google if you're ever in Florida.
