Sorry to cross post but thought I might reach a greater audience!

I'm thinking of fitting panniers to my 1150GS which came with the pannier rails but I don't want to fit the GS n/s pannier with the exhaust cut out.

Do I buy a set of RT/RS panniers and the Wudo exhaust lowering kit or a pair of GIVI side racks. I already own a pair of GIVI E36 panniers.

I'm tempted to buy the Wudo kit and the GIVI racks so that I can customise the n/s rack to fit as close as the o/s rack.

What do people think?

The Wudo kit is ~ £100
The GIVI racks are £86
A pair of RT/RS panniers are about to sell on ebay for something over £100.

Richard......I went for a wudo kit so that I could mount equal sized boxes either side.

For the extra few quid, it does give you a much more useable space in the LHS.

You're welcome to take a look at mine if you like....I'm in Dartford, or will be at Eynsford on the 23rd (?) for the last meet of the year.

Thanks. I assume that you have RS/RT boxes? Do you find them big enough? That was really my aim with the GIVI kit and the Wudo exhaust kit.

As for the 23rd; I'll be pouring copious quantities of NZ wine down my throat - sorry!

Nope...I have Vernatechs.........approx 50 litres per side, so plenty big enough thanks ;)

Plastic panniers on a GS just isn't right somehow.

Just as a comparison, here are mine next to some system plasticcies....(before lowering kit...these ones still have the LH cut-out)

Ah! Proper panniers!

I'm afraid I'm doing this on the less-than-expensive. Weren't the Vernatech jobbies a tad hard on the wallet?
