as the post says, im in the wifes good books so i can get out around 9am and need to be home for around 5.30-6pm.
really want a good ride out, i know most work during the week but if your off, who's up for it and whats the destination? lakes ? wales ?

Righto then sounds like a plans unfolding.
spokewith rudie last night and i think he should be up for a blast too.
either way should be a good day out.
will look at some routes tonight, or if someone has a good knowledge of the area even better

righto.....update for those that want to put some miles under their belt.
destination is HardKnott Pass
i recommend an early set off time, i aim to be on the road for no later than 9am

now the only way i know is via a bit of a slog on the motorway. but once we pull off we are greeted with some cracking views and roads.

the only route i know is this:
M61 onto the M6, Leaving the M6 at junction 8 joining the A590
When we reach Penny Bridge we then join the A5092, once we arrive at Grizeback thats when we hit the A595 which will take us all the way to Hardknott Pass and we are greeted with views like this:
