Just bought a Garmin Montana and used it for a couple of weeks now, this is my first GPS always used a map on tank bag before. I was a bit concerned about the touch screen and how the screen would fare in direct sunlight. I needn't have worried, its easy to use even with gloves although may not be that great with big winter gloves and the screen is easily readable in sunlight. I am getting to grips with the menu's now and find it all pretty easy although i have nothing to compare it with. I have not used the OS maps for any offroad stuff yet, i think that may be a little more challenging
. So far so good though, but i do need a cable to hardwire it in so i'm not reliant on batteries.

and the gps will be my speedo etc. The only one i have seen at the moment is the touratech one which houses the garmin wired cradle. It looks expensive at £130, but could be my only option.
