Good Evening,

This years Barbeque is on - and will be at the same address as last year. If you wish to pop along - just text me on 07624 225577 or email at moo at manx.net - (or answer here) - and I will give you the details.

We are in Kirk Michael and marshall at Douglas Road Corner (opposite the school in Kirk Michael) during the racing - so you can always say "hi" any other time - if you fancy. Kettle can be boiled quickly enough :thumb

Basically - its a chance for folk to get together and was a nice "doo" last year so I hope you will come along. Our garden has changed (growing lots of veg etc) so we are gonna ask permission from the commissioners to be able to use the grassy area opposite our home -- it'll give us a bit more space.

Same idea - bring somat to drink and somat to eat - and we will provide the BBQ; softdrinks (as most are on bikes); a few beers for those of us not driving) and lots of accompaniments to "meat" as well as a bit of meat (brought by our mate George)!! Any veggies - just let me know and I willl get some veggie burgers in!

It starts after the roads open - around 6.30pm and we look forward to seeing folk there.

See ya soon,
Moo and Derm x

ps please can someone sticky this so it is easy for folk to find if they wish to come along. Many thanks x

Hope the weather improves!

Mind you, there's a pub near by just in case the BBQ won't light! :P

Dermot and Rob had come home when the roads opened briefly at 5pm - so I was up at DRC when the whole thing happened - and thus didn't get home til gone 8.30 - and that was just with the traffic chaos that ensued ..... you know what Chris .... I knew you would be caught up and was just hoping and praying that the guys got to hospital ...thats all! The rumours that were flying were horrendous ..... a bit hard to deal with to be honest.

The BBQ was lovely and those who made it enjoyed it .... so all I care about is that you were fine OK? End of!

Sorry....

Apologies, Moo. After the incident & road closure, I figured you'd be as stuck as I was, so I didn't even attempt the journey from Douglas. Afterwards, I heard they'd briefly opened the road & I could have got to you, but hindsight makes it much easier to second guess what's going on.

I'll try again next year :thumb

It'll be on! See you then :)
