Suppose it must be the colder weather comming, but there seems to be a lot of battery probs/questions! Been using the trusty steed to take me into town (22kms each way) so the battery should have time to charge ok espesh as I've had no problems for now. I have a hawker battery but on the way home on wednesday pushed the "go" button only to be greeted with the dredded solenoid click. Ha! no worries I have a kick starter. I would like to start a thread to have it renamed the "move the piston a few mm" lever. Gave up on the K/start idea and bumped it back to life. Re charged the gel battery and just done the generator test via the diode board, the one where you connect to the far end of the diode board with the lead dissconected and the D+ terminal on the generator. I have 16.summat above 2k rpm. Is that ok? seems a bit high?
