More pretentious bollox...

If I'm honest, I'd love my life to be more like that...

I think it's tragic how being a 'motorcyclist/biker' (or whatever you want to call it) in England in 2013, really isn't a lot of fun.

There's so much counting against it; going abroad helps, but somehow (for me at least) something is seriously lacking...

On my way to Devon's do, on the motorway, I passed a guy on a hardtail Sportster bobber, not an Evo, it was the old N reg.

He had a fringed suede jacket on, camo trousers, bubble visor lid, a duffel strapped to the cissy bar.

He'd have looked great in that movie, but he was in the slow lane, being passed by lorries, it was pissing with rain, and he was soaked.

Was he living the dream..? Was he having a great time..? I doubt it, but who the fuck knows.

Maybe it's me, but I keep asking... 'Are we having fun yet..?' :blast

I thought the Classic weekend was an oldtimer's version of the Video complete with wobbly boxes and caravans :D

On a more serious note the Swiss couple seemed to be having a great adventure on their Ural and Ching Chang outfits and really enjoying themselves plus Joel and Phoebe's (who joined the Saturday ride out) enthusiasm to tour Europe for 3 months on the GSA Adventure they picked up the day before was refreshing and not a million miles from the sentiment of the video :thumb2

Good vid :thumb2

......and not just because it features a Triumph Scrambler :D

Must admit I enjoy riding the Scram every bit as much the 1200GS - very back to basics riding and nearly as slow as an 1150GSA :augie

oh, and one of those rides will be to ride a 250 Superdream back from Hull which is gonna be turned into....................a hipster flat-tracker :bounce1

Andres - living the dream :dabone

Sounds like fun. Even better, you won't be chopping up a nice old bike to do it (apologies to any Wet Dream fans in the audience).

But possibly the blandest and most un-engaging engine ever made...

Hopefully the rest of the bike will make up for it :D

The vid was great, just some guys doing what they fancied nice music and quite entertaining. Far better than another shaky go pro film of big bad bob's favourite set of bends:blast

Biking is getting boring, ruined IMO by the Sunday Rideout mentality, all hi viz and bright lights and far too nicey nicey, its needs a raw edge again and that can only come from the young riders, they need to develop their own 'scene' if that's old bikes and dad's leather jacket then i feel sorry for them.

Anyway bollix to the bikes i'm off out in the boat in a minute with me dad to catch some supper:thumb2

Says the grumpy old fart in the corner...Pint of mild Phil?

What happened to the young bloke who rode a Moto Martin and posted pictures of himself and his mates in the 80's looking just like these blokes now?

...still waiting for my pint of mild....harrrumph...
