Friday off work is always a bonus but even better with a Hog Raost to ride too.

Having managed to convince Chris (Shadowfist) & Panos (Captain GSA) that going to Bakerman's do was a top idea, I found that the Berkshire & Surrey lads where meeting Frimley Station with an RV time of 10.30.

Arrived early and sniffed out a coffee from down the road & after a while was joined by Chris 'The fist' on his white charger.

After Chris, Panos (Captain GSA) & Mr Christmas arrived and we had a pretty laid back jaunt down to Andover via the M3 & A303.

First on site we had the pick of the pitch.

Once the tents where up, time to relax, take a few snaps & wait for my mate Rob to turn up.

Photos:

1. Capitan GSA fiddling with his twat flaps

2. It was all too much for Chris & he needed a lie down. Don't forget the sun screen on ya noggin!

3. The Beast of Burden™ is clean (for once), but how long can it stay that way?

4. Mad Rob arrives with his usual greeting.

I let slip that the ol' doughnuts where all inclusive of the weekend cost.

BIG mistake.

Chris embarks on his first of many while under the watchful eye of Slimbo who's asking himself why he's not got hold of any yet.

With the evening starting, the best steak was being prepared & served by 'The Bakerman'

Note the glasses of red wine. These are very instrumental items in what is to happen later.

Went out and did the 'Tail end Charlie' bit for Clive as he led the Friday night off road Novice ride out from 9.30 to after 11pm.
Damn good fun with 17 out and 17 back in the pen at the end of the evening.
All good stuff & big grins all round, especially from the first timers.

Didn't take any photos but did get back in time for a few beers and some of the music at the marquee.

Later on, after the band had cleared and most folk had hit the sack, a few stragglers remained in various inebriated states.
Here is a prime example:augie
Shep & the shepherdess enjoying the support of a straw chaise lounge.

And then there was Steve 'The Bakerman', brain child of this fabulous function.

Lets face it, anyone who puts as much hard work into this kind of venue as Steve does, deserves a few glasses or two before heading off home to bed.

Unfortunately, making it home to his bed was not going to be.

With big responsibilities comes big rest (Ahem! remember the instrumentation of red wine? :augie)

A pre booked Taxi to take Steve home was on it's way.
When told it was time to get up and get in the cab, the words uttered where -

"You know, I really love you guys but......f*ck off." (all said in good humour with a tipsy chuckle at the end)
This was repeated a few times

There was no shifting him I tell ye.

Judge even ripped down the pail wall to drag him out to the taxi. No chance.
Here he was for the night.
Even Rob tried to stir him.
so in the end we build the wall back up and tucked him in for the night while shep and Rob kept vidule whilst singing lullabies .(ahh)

Sleep tight Steve. After all your hard work, who are we to tell you where you can or cannot rest. Top man.

Walking back to the tent we found another 'sleep where you land' victim.

A friend of the Bahnstormers mob I believe.

Better check his pulse Rob.

Ah, & here's his mate come to observe the mess.

Next morning threw me a bit of a hangover but was fed and watered and ready for the intermediate off road ride on Salisbury Plain led by Paul.
Just before the off, My mate Dave (Pinkytiff) has managed to turn up for the days lark, bungs his gear by my tent and is soon ready to join us on the ride.

Just a few quick shots as we gathered for the off.

1. Slimbo is rearing to go.

2. Dave on his steed

3.Sorry guys, didn't catch your name Nearly caught the back of the KTM though ;) )

3. And young Adam on his Tourances

Rob chillin' at the petrol station before our ride across the Plain to lunch at the pub on the other side.

Lunch was relaxed and gave us 45 minutes, or so, to have some food and chat about the ride so far.

Should have taken more pictures but was too busy chopsing and eating.
It was a pub, it was nice, it served food. OK?;)

After a great afternoon of mixed surfaces led by Paul, the puncture troll steamed out of the bushes & grabbed Tim's bike.

'Many hands make light work', and after a lot of 'who had what' on their bikes, a huddle was formed and the council of puncture repairs was now in session and set to work.

Hole plugged with gloope and bung, Tim decided to air on the side of caution and head off back to site with Adam as back-up, just in case the puncture troll reared it's ugly head again.

Tim, head in hand with :spitfire going through his head.
