Passed its 2nd MOT today:thumb

Last year, the local MOT station didn't like the airshock and said it had no damping:confused: and the front wheel had a 'ding' but reluctantly passed it

This year took it somewhere else (with more common sense) and it passed with no issues - so I asked about the airshock and he said 'like a tyre - it's either up and working or its flat & knackered' - liked that analogy:D

He said he'd seen more runout on a spoked wheel, with a bike new from the crate - than he could detect on my 4yo bike

So it pays to seek a tester from the 'real world'

Anyone else had any 'issues'

Oh.................I removed the TailTidy too and re-fitter the OEM numberplate holder ....................it may stay too, fed up with being covered in fecking mud with the R&G TailTidy:mad:

Have you gone back to the OEM numberplate holder too???:nenau

Mine is due (in fact its now lapsed), but after the Portugal trip i have a few jobs to do yet, new footpeg, new tyres, chain and sprocket set, rear sprocket carrier bearing, but on the bright side i have re fitted the oe rear mudguard, did tell ya about that years ago Johnny:thumb

Too busy getting the Laverda done ready for the Moto Piston Rally:thumb

Coincidentally the MOT man asked about my PivotPegz today.................I said the OEM ones shatter easily:blast, being cast

Did you have any issues re-fitting the OEM rear numberplate in Portugal (bending/cracking/smashing it)

No mate, no problems at all, bike went really well, did 2300 miles so the consumables that have worn arent really suprising.

Have you decided which bike to take to the Moto Pistons yet?

Unless I buy a XT500.................maybe the XChallenge to do a few trails too and just for a long weekend a big GS would be wasted, plus I can put it in the Van (to save the m/way slog:rolleyes:) and leave then Van @ Cookies (very kind of him:thumb2)

Put mine through last week.

Gave me an advisory for the remus being a bit loud, just to cover himself, and sold me a full set of pads to go with the mot as the front ones were close to the limit.

The joy of going to a small out of the way place and I have had bikes mot'd there for years. I also go out trail riding with the bloke now and again.
